Who We Are

Sister Creek Hives believes in raising strong, local, chemical-free honey bees. We use knowledge of honey bee biology and understanding pests and pathogens to keep chemicals out of honey bee colonies.

Sister Creek Hives was founded by Georgia Miguez, a backyard herbalist, native plant enthusiast and lover of honey bees for over a decade. Georgia’s goal is to promote honey bee health, raise awareness of native pollinators and pollinator habitat and support backyard beekeeping. Georgia is the current president of Hays County Beekeepers Association and an apprentice beekeeper with Texas A&M.

Be sure to plant native plants to provide sustainable food sources for native pollinators, as well as honey bee colonies. .
