Even if you don’t want your own hives, bees are a fascinating subject we could all know more about.
Join us for an exciting buzz-worthy journey with special guest, Georgia Miguez. As founder of Sister Creek Hives, she pioneers BeeLease, a service initiative to restore habitats and preserve the region’s natural beauty. Her journey, sparked months before a breast cancer diagnosis, transformed into a source of gratitude and a mission to teach chemical-free beekeeping practices. She’s the bee’s knees!
Georgia will take you under her wings (no pun intended) sharing a slideshow and answering questions as you enjoy snacks of cheese, fruit and honey. Suit up in protective gear and head to the Apiary to learn what it takes to keep a hive going and see the inner workings of hive boxes and equipment. Pull a frame or two and identify important stages of activity in the hive such as looking for new eggs, larvae and capped pupae, all to insure the mesmerizing life cycle of the honey bee and mind-blowing supremacy of the Queen Bee!
Prepare a delicious lunch using honey in all our recipes. Bring a friend!
Includes Complimentary Welcome Nibble, Mocktail and Lunch!
And remember, food-related gifts are most appreciated these days, especially when linked to an experience!
